Accelerating the Law of Attraction (Appreciation Sob)

There are many tools out there that will help you get the most out of the Law of Attraction. The Law of Attraction is always working and running in the background – whether you use the tools or not. The fastest way that I know to manifest with the Law of Attraction is to use the ‘Appreciation Sob’. It has produced miracles for me out of thin air and it puts the Law of Attraction into over drive.

This post explains how to accelerate the Law of Attraction using the ‘Appreciation Sob’.

The Source of the ‘Appreciation Sob’

I have to give kudos to Christine Comaford-Lynch. She is the person who introduced me to the ‘Appreciation Sob’ as a guest speaker on a Peak Potentials teleseminar. If any of you are a Peak Potentials SuccessTracs member then you will want to check her out. She can be found in Peak Potential’s teleseminar archives.

Christine Comaford-Lynch is mind blowing. She literally blew the doors wide open while I was listening to her. In the teleseminar she provided me with 8 solid ideas to use to achieve goals. Luckily, I applied one of those ideas, the appreciation sob.

A little more about Christine Comaford-Lynch

She is a very powerful woman and is a rags-to-riches story. She is a high school drop out turn self-made multi millionaire and she has gone through great odds to aspire to her current success. She has worked with Bill Gates, Bill Clinton, has been a CEO 5 times, has built and sold 5 of her own companies with a 700% return on investment and is currently working as a speaker and consultant to help struggling companies build performance and growth.

On this teleseminar Christine mentions a story about when she was younger and was working for a software company. She was one of a few hundred people who suddenly got laid off. I guess the software company thought she wasn’t qualified because she didn’t have her high school diploma.

In the middle of all this chaos Christine raised her hand at a company presentation within a crowd of a few hundred people (who were all going to be laid off) and said, “Is anyone interested in joining my new company?”

The crazy thing was that she didn’t even have a company. She just raised her hand and created one at that company presentation. She saw an opportunity and went for it. Christine went on and created that company.

This woman is powerful to say the least. You can learn more about her story in her latest book, Rules for Renegades.

Crying While Manifesting

On the call Christine speaks about the ‘Appreciation Sob’. She said that this is something that you should do at least once a week to harness the attractive energies.  It’s a form of crying while manifesting.  The day after I listened to the teleseminar I was on my way to work and had just missed my train. I had about 15 minutes to spare before taking the next train. So I’m sitting in the parking lot thinking, “What am I going to do now?” to which my unconscious mind replied, “Why don’t you give the Appreciation Sob thingie a try.” So I did.

How to Apply the Appreciation Sob

I remember Christine mentioning on the call that you need to start by finding a quiet space. Luckily, I was sitting in my car in a deserted parking lot so things were looking up.

Once you find a quiet space, you start to think of all the things that you’re grateful for. The idea is to get into the space of feeling grateful and appreciative for everything that you have in your life. Keep bringing these emotions in until you start to feel so overwhelmed with joy that you start crying.

Once you start crying, keep going until you’re so full of joy that you start to sob uncontrollably and are leaking fluids all over the place. Here are 10 tips to get into the groove of gratitude.

Now I’ll tell ya, the first time I tried this it didn’t work. I couldn’t get to the point of crying. I just wasn’t getting those deep feelings that Christine was talking about on the call – at least until I tried something different.

I remember sitting in my car and thinking about this U2 song that I really love. It just melts me every time I play it. So I pulled out the CD and put the song on. I closed my eyes and was listening and within 15 seconds I was so welled up with joy that I started to ball my eyes out.

The Results Please…

Picture this…. I’m sitting in a deserted train parking lot balling my eyes out listening to U2. You’re probably thinking, “This guy is nuts!”

Yes I am.  I’m also one huge appreciation magnet.  This is the most epic version of gratitude and the law of attraction.

On the train on my way to work I couldn’t help but feel great. I was feeling so good that I couldn’t help but tell a few people about this great exercise. This is one of the byproducts of doing this exercise – you feel great after doing it and want to share it with everyone.

The main benefit is even better. A couple of hours after doing this exercise I logged into my blog and was checking out my stats. I noticed that someone had completed a Google search with the following key words:

‘How to get rich principles’

This search led someone to my blog. I got even more curious and checked it out. Apparently, out of the blue, my blog suddenly appeared on the very first Google results page when someone searched for ‘how to get rich principles’. This floored me. I almost crapped my pants when I saw this. Insane I tell ya.

As of today my previous blog (stephenmartile.com) still comes up on the very first search results page when someone searches using the keywords, ‘how to get rich principles’.

Another Example

I also used the ‘Appreciation Sob’ to find us a new tenant for our apartment. Low and behold I did the ‘Appreciation Sob’ yesterday and we have a tenant viewing tomorrow (this Friday). I tell ya, this is gratitude and the law of attraction working at full amplification.

I would strongly urge anyone who is even remotely familiar with the Law of Attraction to try this exercise and get in a good cry. Not only will you feel better but you’ll also begin to experience and see the magic the Law of Attraction in action… and really frickin fast.

For those DOERS out there, get on this one and test it out. I know there are a lot of people out there who take action and know when its right for them. If that’s you, then get out there and try it. Let me know how it works and drop me a line via my contact page or through a comment on this site. I’d love to hear from you.

  • Thanks for the mention! FYI the technique is an “Appreciation Bomb”–guess I didn’t articulate it clearly. Though sobbing may be involved… here’s a snippet from the “Power Boosters” resource (see COOL RESOURCES section on RulesForRenegades.com):

    1. The Appreciation Bomb.

Many years ago a friend of mine had a troubled teenage daughter. After leaving many high school, her parents sent her to what they thought was their last resort: a private school with unorthodox—and highly effective—techniques for troubled kids. His daughter went from being at risk for addiction to drugs, teen pregnancy, and running away to becoming a kind, peaceful (for a teen, at least), creative, interesting child with numerous talents and a life full of activities. The main reason? The young lady had been “love bombed” at this school. No matter what she did, she met with acceptance, kindness, and gobs of love. Constantly.

So I thought, why not do an Appreciation Bomb on bad days? And it worked. Now whenever I am having a tough day or just want to ratchet up my power level, I reach for the Appreciation Bomb. There are 2 easy steps:

    1) Sit down someplace quiet. List all the things you are grateful for.
    2) Keep listing them, out loud or silently (you can write them if you want) until your eyes tear up with joy. Do not get up or move around until you reach that goal. You’ll be blown away.

    Enjoy!
    C

Hey. Is to come to the point of tears necessary. Can’t one just be deeply grateful without the tears being a pre-requisite. Only asking as coming to tears with gratitude doesn’t come to me. I can feel very deeply thankful .
    Do clarify.

    Hi Nur,

In my own experience this exercise has been very powerful when my eyes well up with tears of joy.

Don’t take my word for it. Check out Christine’s comment above as she explains the Appreciation Bomb.

Looks like I mis-heard the name of the exercise on the teleseminar and renamed it by accident :)

Appreciation Sob! It sounds like meditation’s evil twin! But, it sounds like it’d work better, because of the physical aspect of crying.

    • Hi Steve,
I actually like “Appreciation sob” more. It resonates more with me. Thanks for sharing it with all of us!

Thanks. Sometimes we need to be reminded to be appreciative of all the good things we have in life. The truth is that when we are deeply thankful for what we have the universe is happy to provide us with more good.

Wow! I’ve been doing some Law of Attraction blog searches lately and got directed hear from a carnival site. I read about the Appreciation Sob or Bomb and was wondering if I could get myself to that point. Loved the U2 song idea as music (and U2 for that matter) often moves me deeply as well. So, I’m thinking I should try this.

No time like the present. I am home on a Sunday, my boyfriend traveling in Asia for business. So I have criteria 1. a quiet place alone. I’m reading through the comments on the original post and suddenly start thinking about how far I have come from a lonely damaged little 5 year old living in poverty to owning a beautiful new home and car and having a successful career and great partner. Blammo! Tears well up and run down my face when I think how grateful I am for how far I have come from 5 year old to 35 year old. I am teary and grateful to say the least.

I also tried to focus this Appreciation Bomb on the intention of having my condo sold. Just moved from a condo into great new home with said boyfriend and am manifesting my condo sold. I will let you know how the appreciation bomb affects that intention.

    Thanks!!!!

    Hi Stephen,
I’m a little unclear abt how you focus on ur intention/desire while doing this exercise. You said you got a new tenant. So did you first bring yourself to the point of gratitude/tears & then say that you needed a new tenant or that you were grateful that you already had one (even tho’ you didn’t)? Please let me know. Thanx.

  • Steve

    Reply Reply March 25, 2009

    Hey Jacque,

Here’s the thing with intentions. It’s been my experience that you can set an intention during your visualization or affirmations, then you forget about it.

The intention comes to manifest when you put yourself into the vibration to attract it; and like I said the fastest way that I know to get the attraction kicked into overdrive is by becoming an appreciation magnet with this exercise.

The intention is the starting point, but it’s the feeling that allows the intention to manifest.

Steve, this is an amazing exercise

I was very skeptical when I read this article and didn’t know if I was actually gonna try it, the main problem was I can’t remember the last time I cried (not that guys shouldn’t cry or anything like that, but It just hadn’t happened for a long time)… the last time probably was when I was a kid and fell down the stairs and cried for my mommy.

About a week later, I was reading a book in a Park near my house on a beautiful Sunday morning… I saw this man who was walking with his 3-4 year old daughter (light brown hair, adorable pig tails, very cute pink outfit).

I noticed that the girl was walking erratically, making random sounds and her father held her hand at all times, I then realized that the girl was mentally challenged, this scene (seeing the father walking so patiently with her so she could enjoy the park and the playground like a regular kid) immediately choked me up as my uncle has a daughter like that and I know how hard it is for parents to have a kid like that.

I remembered this article and realized that the first thing we should always be grateful for is our health and the health of our loved ones as we tend to take it for granted when we have it (do you remember the last time that something happened to someone you love, or you found a random lump somewhere in your body that you couldn’t stop worrying about until you got to the doctor?).

So I was crying my eyes out in no time and couldn’t stop myself. But I’ve got to tell you, I’ve never felt more peaceful and I still feel wonderful. Try it, but try it with something that really moves you… this one may work for you as well.

    Keep up the good work

Thank you, Steve, for pointing this exercise out to us and for explaining it so thoroughly and clearly. I frequently come to the point of tears of gratitude spontaneously, but had never thought of intentionally doing this. I believe it will be of great assistance in uplifting us so that our dreams come true more quickly. I tried it as soon as I read this article and it felt so wonderful! I make lists of things I am grateful for quite often, but this exercise is much more uplifting than simply listing the many, many things I am thankful for. Thanks again!

Sounds interesting. What if you just feel super happy though?

Are you sure the crying isn’t just because you’re working through and releasing core images?

  • Steve

    Reply Reply July 3, 2010

    Hey Josh,

That’s hard to say because I went through this exercise a while back. I still cry, but it’s not usually intentional like this was.

When I did this exercise I felt euphoric, like I had just let go of something big… and that allowed me to really relax.

Have you tried it? What do you think?

I also got big results with appreciation. One day I tried to concentrate on unconditional love so much that at the end I felt like I was one with all. Suddenly I saw the meaning and the beauty in everything. I loved just everything. No seperation! I cried of course, because it was that moving. The next day I FOUND 600€ (which was a lot for me back then, as I was struggling to pay my bills, although they weren’t higher then 300€/month).

Yes you have to have that feeling inside when you are thinking of the things you are greatful for in life. People kepts asking me just before I got married if I was nervous I said not but on the day I had a running nose which I did not want. I cry when I watch tv shows about surprising people such as family members meeting their long lost relatives. Even so I don’t know these people I cry tears of happiness for them. I try and hide my hanky wiping tears away by having a blow as not to let who ever I am with that I am crying. I will watch these shows alone then think of all the things I am greatful for now.

Hi Steve! Maybe this isn’t the best section to ask this question, but I will ask anyway :)
At the moment I am doing a lot of things following my dreams and desires. I am happy about doing them and am (at least)trying to apply all the priciples.
All the things I am doing are completely different though. 1.) I am starting my own business – fun, and money-creating 2.) I am writing a childrens book – creative and fun. 3.) Putting together and writing my short novels book – creative and satysfying. 4.) Shooting my first movie. 5.) Appying to University.
Now, all of these things, in order to happen need to be accompanied by my belief, appreciation and gratefulness. I haven’t mention yet that I am also working full time.
Is there a possibility that a concertration on such a different fields can influence sucess or defeat? I don’t think I could get defeated, I mean, but sometimes it is a bit confusing for me. Not even talking about confusing the ‘substance’! ?
Thanks Steve, would appreciate if you got back to me. Regards, Viktoria

Thanks Steve and Christine! …Appreciation Bomb…what a wonderful idea!

I have found lately that I am very quick to laugh. I usually laugh at some silly little mistake that I have made or a realization of a synchronicity, something that Source via the Law of Attraction has brought to me that I had asked for either “positive” or “negative”.

What happens is that the laugh very quickly, within 5-10 seconds, turns into a deep cough. The feeling inside is like after a strong, really cleansing cry. I have read somewhere that crying and laughing are both very cleansing tools.

I wonder if one can use laughter in the same way as crying while doing the Appreciation Bomb or maybe calling it the Appreciation Laugh…

    I will experiment with both!
