The Shocking Truth About Action!

I’ve noticed a trend recently. I’ve noticed that I’ve been able to get more done with less. In other words I’ve been able to get greater results by taking less action. It doesn’t really make sense, does it? It defies logic really. It didn’t make sense to me either, well until recently.

In Dr. Robert Anthony’s report, ‘The Shocking Truth about Action’ he says,

“Most people believe that the doing, or action part, is what makes things happen. However, this belief causes you to create in reverse.”

That statement really had me. It made me think, “You can’t create without taking action. More importantly you can’t create greater results with less action.” It just defies logic.

It turns out I was wrong. Would you like to know why?

I thought you would. On more than one occasion Bob Proctor has been known to say,

“You see, it’s not what we do, it’s how we do it.”

Now this statement got me thinking. It really made me think. If it’s not what we do, then what the heck is it? What do you think Bob is trying to say?

What does he mean when he says, how we do it? It’s subtle and most people don’t get it, but I’ll let you in on a clue. The answer can be found in the process of creation.

Process of Creation

You see, you have to understand the order of the Universe to create greater results. It all starts with the creation process:

Thoughts > Feelings > Actions > Results

I think you’ve seen this before. A lot of us have, but most don’t understand it. Cause if more of us did, then we would start applying it.

The thing is that most of us believe the creation process comes from taking action. This is partially true. It really depends on where those actions are coming from. Let me explain….

Corrective Action

You see most people take actions that are a result of fearful thoughts. We think we need to force our results to manifest by taking action. This isn’t very effective. Most of the time our doings are really re-actions to fear; our fearful thoughts. Unfortunately, these actions don’t move you forward to produce the results you want.

If anything, these actions are just corrective actions. They’re actions taken as a response to your fearful thoughts. Stop those thoughts and you will stop taking corrective action.

How do you eliminate fearful thinking? The way to know if you’re having these thoughts is if you’re anxious, doubtful or worried about something. All these feelings are signs of your thoughts of fear.

You want to take action from inspiration, joy and happiness. This starts with the way you think.

In the Science of Getting Rich, Wallace Wattles says,

“so far man has confined his efforts wholly to the work of his hands; he has applied manual labor to the world of forms – seeking to change or modify already existing forms. He has never thought of trying to cause the creation of new forms by impressing his thoughts upon the formless substance.”

Read that again because if you get it, you will understand the secret of secrets. In order to create greater results with less action you need to start thinking. I’m not talking about brain activity; that’s not thinking. I’m talking about real thinking. You have to start thinking about what you want and stop thinking about what you don’t want.

Use the creation process. This starts with the way you THINK.

Intention

As Dr. Robert Anthony confirms,

“It is not your action that makes things happen, it is your intent.”

Start using intention. Think about what you really want and intend it. This will start the creative energies working for you so you can get more done with less.

We don’t always think about our intention. I remember a client who told me he wanted to be rich. He tried and tried but never happened for him.

When I asked him what he really wanted, what was his intention, he said to be free. That is what being rich would do.

When he forced on being free instead of rich, it wasn’t before long he achieved his freedom.

He wasn’t looking at his intention, just a dream that sounded nice. His intention was freedom and when you focus on the right thing, things happen for you.
