This strategy works for me every time and it will work for you too - to make you feel better; and here’s the best part.  It’s so simple.  You can do it at home, at work, with friends or family - with anyone at all.  You could do it with a total stranger!

What am I talking about?  Feeling good.  It helps you feel better inside and here’s how it works.  In order to feel better, you want to stop thinking about yourself and start thinking about someone else.  Then when you start thinking of them, you do something very specific…..

It’s in the video.  Check it out:

Thanks for the Monday update. ;)

You got it 100% right - I can’t stress enough how important it is to thank people for the work they do, no matter how small the task may be. I think we tend to forget that everyone plays a role, big or small - but without people doing the little things, the bigger things wont run as smoothly.

Happy people = more efficient workers.

My boss has lived by that code for a long time, and its the main reason why I have such loyalty to the company I work for. Receiving praise and “thanks” for just doing your job makes you feel important. Reciprocating the “thanks” makes you feel even better knowing you’ve made someone feel good about themselves and what they do.

Good tip, buddy. So simple - but the effects are long lasting.

Hi Steve, I immediately felt the urge to thank YOU :-). You are really doing a great job and made me smile inspite of the mad start of this week! Thanks, Karen

@ Drezz, you made such a great point there:

Happy people = more efficient workers.

If more employers recognized this they wouldn’t have to put so much emphasis on paying their employees more; don’t get me wrong, money is great but the bottom line is that appreciation and employee acknowledgement are so much more important.

    @ Karen,

It’s easier for others to learn around you when you’re living by example ;)

    Hey, Steve!

    Thanks, for that simple advice!

It’s all true, of course! That’s why I start practically every letter I send through the Internet with a Thank You. It’s great for me. (Oh, and for the receiver, as well! Hahaha!)

    Sunshine & Blessings,
    Giovani
