“When most people make internal images with their eyes open, they use only the space that’s available around them. How often do your pictures go through the walls or extend beyond the ceiling?” ~ Chris Morris
Check out this video and what I learned from NLP practitioner, Chris Morris. He’s the host of NLP Connections.
The video is less than two minutes long and it will help you make bigger and more inspiring pictures.

Will Vision Help You Escape the Rat Race?
April 2, 2009 | 2 Comments
This article is the sixth in a series of articles on How to Triple Your Income as a Consultant.
You’ve got to have a clear picture of where you’re going. If you don’t, it’s like having a ship without a rudder. Who are you helping and why? How many hours are you working and what are you doing? What sort of lifestyle have you created? What sort of luxuries can you afford? All of this must be mapped out in your head from the very beginning.
Escape the Rat Race
You might not be in the career you want right now. You may be in a job or business that you don’t really enjoy like I was.
The way to get out of your current career and into a new one is to start picturing yourself in your new career and living the lifestyle you really want. You can start right now by checking out: Creative Visualization Insight #1.
You see, I started this process in early 2008. Every morning I got up at 5:30 am and held the image of the business and lifestyle I wanted in my minds eye. I held this image in my mind and visualized being in the new business and lifestyle everyday for five minutes a day.
“When you create the picture in your mind of how you will live when you reach your income objective, understand that the creative process has begun. It is only a matter of time before your new lifestyle becomes a physical reality.” ~ Bob Proctor
Then I began to act with faith and purpose at the job I was working in. I took effective action where I was and gave it everything I had.

The No.1 Strategy to Make You Feel Better
March 2, 2009 | 11 Comments
This strategy works for me every time and it will work for you too - to make you feel better; and here’s the best part. It’s so simple. You can do it at home, at work, with friends or family - with anyone at all. You could do it with a total stranger!
What am I talking about? Feeling good. It helps you feel better inside and here’s how it works. In order to feel better, you want to stop thinking about yourself and start thinking about someone else. Then when you start thinking of them, you do something very specific…..
It’s in the video. Check it out:

How to Visualize Traffic for Bloggers
January 12, 2009 | 6 Comments
Did you know that thought is the most potent force in the Universe? Not many people believe this, but you do believe in electricity, right? Why? Because you can measure electricity and it turns on your lighting. You use electricity all the time, even though it’s invisible - so why not use thought? Thought is the highest frequency of vibration known to humans.
I’m going to share a visualization I’ve been practicing for only 5 weeks. This visualization will help you create the vibration to attract the circumstances, people and conditions so that you can multiply your blog traffic.
At the end of this month I’ll share my traffic statistics to show you that this works: See my Blog Diary in the Blog Mastermind Forums for my updated traffic statistics (Jan, 09)

How to Quiet the Mind
January 5, 2009 | 8 Comments
“In the silence, we see at one time the person we are and the person we are capable of becoming. … It is precisely for this reason that we fill our lives with noise, to distract ourselves from the challenge to change.” ~ Matthew Kelly
Your mind gets distracted - that’s a given. It takes conscious effort and energy to think. And if you’re going to even think about visualizing effectively, then you have to be very calm of mind. You have to turn down that noise that is running in the background and learn how to quiet the mind.
How do you do that?
I’m glad you asked. I’ll show you exactly how to quiet the mind. This is an exercise that I’ve been practicing daily for the past 2 years. Here’s the video,

Think BIG!
December 15, 2008 | 2 Comments
There is a story about this fisherman. The fisherman spends his whole day looking for fish. On the side of the boat the fisherman keeps an old broken piece of ruler to measure his fish. When the fishermen brings in a catch he takes the fish and measures it alongside the ruler to see if it’s a keeper. Every time the fisherman finds a fish that is longer that the ruler he throws it back. Every time the fisherman finds a fish smaller than the ruler he puts the fish aside for cleaning.
The owner of the marina notices this and goes up to the fisherman to see why he does this. As the owner of the marina approaches the fisherman he says, “Why do you keep throwing back the big fish and keeping the small fish?” Well the fisherman looks up at the marina owner and says, “Well because the bigger fish wouldn’t fit in my frying pan, silly.”
The Lesson: Think small and you’ll always get small. Think big and you’ll receive big.
In this weeks’ video I’ll give you a suggestion for setting a financial goal for the upcoming year. If you place your attention on this one goal, you’ll be off to a great start for 2009. Enjoy!

Are you Modelling a Proven Winner?
November 25, 2008 | Leave a Comment
I think this idea of modelling is such a powerful, yet simple way to accelerate you towards your goals. If you’re very clear on what you want, then finding someone who is already doing it successfully is a critical next step.
Why? Well, put it this way. I’ve tried blogging on my own for over a year. Yes, it was a great experience but I still wasn’t producing the sort of results I wanted. Deep down I knew I was capable of greater things but it wasn’t happening. Once I began to model a few select leaders in my field, I quickly picked up the pace and began to produce some results that have helped me build my mailing list and increase traffic to this site.
But it wasn’t always this way. For some reason I wanted to do everything myself. I didn’t want to ask others for help because I thought that this might come across as a sign of a weakness. I thought if I asked others for help they might judge me instead of helping me. I thought they might reject me.
These limiting beliefs held me back for a very long time. Over the summer I got a wake up call and it proved to be my turning point. In this week’s video post I share my story. Enjoy!
Model a proven winner and you will always cut down on your time investment. You’ll cut down on trial and error and you’ll inevitably reach your goals much faster. What do you think?

3 Beliefs to Engage the Law of Attraction
November 18, 2008 | 4 Comments
There are three beliefs that you need to internalize if you want to engage the Law of Attraction. Now I know some people are thinking, “that’s really nice Steve, more principles on the Law of Attraction, but how do I really get rich?” I’m telling you that these three beliefs are the foundation to harnessing that creative force inside you.
In my video I’ll share with you 3 beliefs that will help you engage the law of attraction. And as always if you have something to say, just say it! Spill the beans, speak your mind - I want to hear your questions.
These videos are so fun to make. I hope you enjoyed this week’s Motivational Monday.
