Vacation

May 28, 2012 | Leave a Comment

This week I’m on vacation in the Dominican so I haven’t published any new content.  I will have a series of new articles and videos on manifesting money coming out very shortly over the next few weeks.

It was also my birthday last Wednesday so I’ve been taking a bit of an hiatus from blogging ;)

I’ve also got some exciting news – something that has dropped into my lap over the past month that I’ll be sharing with you very soon – more on that next month.

For this week, you might want to prepare yourself for the upcoming videos and articles on manifesting money.  Here’s what I suggest:

Have a super week.  If you have questions or comments in the meantime… make sure to let me know!

Today my Blackberry died.  I got a bit of water on it while I was shaving this morning (oops!)

In this article I’ll share some insights on the loss of my cell phone and how I ended up with something better through Intention Manifestation.

Most people think of loss as a bad thing.  That’s not how I look at it all.

To me everything in our physical experience is only temporary.

If something awfully bad happens…

  • You lose your job
  • You get fired from your job
  • Your computer dies
  • You get into a terrible accident
  • You lose your home
  • You lose an important client

…then something better is usually on the way.   The loss creates *space* for something better to show up.  When a part of you dies another part of you is born.  Sure there may be some temporary pain or discomfort, but in the long run any setback can transform into something even better.

That’s what happened with my Blackberry.  My blackberry has all of my contacts and my complete schedule.  I felt irritated and even a little peeved with the whole episode because I was focused on the setback.

Then I realized the genius of it all.  I became fully awake to the wizardry at work.  Even though I lost a good phone – for some time – I’ve also wanted a new Iphone.

It’s no wonder circumstances played out the way they did :-)

Vertigo

March 20, 2012 | 2 Comments

I have experienced Benign Positional Vertigo for just over 10 years.

If you experience dizziness at times that lasts for hours or even days at a time, you’ll appreciate some of the resources on this page.   In this article I’ll share some of the treatments I have used for ‘curing’ Benign Positional Vertigo.

Vertigo Explained

Benign vertigo Vertigo is naturopathically defined as: “An abnormal sensation that causes you to feel as though you or your environment is moving or spinning (this is an actual sensation of movement and is different than dizziness). It occurs when there is a problem in the vestibular labyrinth, the portion of the inner ear that control’s balance.” – Lise Bourbeau

Still not sure what vertigo is?

Imagine being drunk or on a roller coaster for an entire day. Sure, it might be fun for the first 15 minutes or so, but an entire day of feeling dizzy can be draining.  That’s what vertigo is.

Yesterday I got a wave of Vertigo.  It was the first time I’ve had symptoms in about a year.  It came on so suddenly and was so violent that I went straight to bed.

I woke up 3 hours later and still had a dizzy spell.  When I woke up I felt angry for feeling so weak and useless.  When I get these dizzy spells, I can’t do much.  I can barely brush my teeth because standing along triggers the nausea.  Most times, all I can do is lie in bed.

Cause of Vertigo

The vertigo “dizziness” occurs when there is a problem in the vestibular labyrinth, the portion of the inner ear that control’s balance.  Apparently, there is a small crystal that gets lodged in the inner ear and sits on nerve endings.  This triggers the “off-balance” or “spinning” feeling.

Back in 2003 I had my first waive of vertigo.  It was the first time I noticed these symptoms and even though I don’t believe in traditional medicine or drugs, I had to do something about the nausea.  At that time I went to see a local medical doctor.

The doctor said that sometimes a tiny crystal in the inner ear can cause this imbalance.  What he did was walk me through a series of body rotations that would help me dislodge the crystal and ‘pop-it-out’ of my inner ear.

After doing the exercise a few more times at home, the vertigo subsided.  No drugs.  No medicine. I just did the home treatment and I was back to normal in a couple of days.  You can find the exercise here: Vertigo Home Treatment for Left Ear Click here to read more…

In this post I’ll share some easy ways to share Freedom Education with your friends.

You can share this with your family too… but they might think you’re ‘loco’ or even ‘nuts.

Poor souls.

Sometimes it’s better to circulate good information to your inner circle… the people who really know you.

Here are 3 super-easy ways to share Freedom Education:

#1. Share the Special Reports Page

  • Email the Special Reports to your friends.
  • Give the Special Reports away on your Blog.
  • Share the Special Reports on Linkedin.
  • Share the Special Reports on Facebook.
  • Share the Special Reports on Youtube.

#2. Share the 7 Secrets of Rapid Transformation Page

Top 6 Traffic Sources

December 30, 2011 | 5 Comments

I killed my Twitter and Facebook profiles this year.  All these so-called “gurus” are telling you that you must have these social media tools in place to be successful.

I disagree.

The main reason I disagree is because most of the traffic to this blog comes from organic search results.  This blog is my best marketing tool by far.

Here were my top 6 traffic sources for 2011…

  1. Google
  2. Stumble Upon
  3. Yahoo
  4. Youtube
  5. Bing
  6. Facebook
Facebook accounted for about 1% of my total traffic in the last year.

Special Reports

December 19, 2011 | 2 Comments

I’ve done some interior decorating with my blog. I took away a few distracting links and simplified the right sidebar. I haven’t changed the theme (because I really like the theme), but I have made the overall look and feel simpler, I believe.

I’ve also setup a page for downloading Special Reports. You may have seen this page (or not!). On it, you’ll find a bunch of special reports that I created. You’ll love’em and they’re not going to cost you a cent.

They’re all free :)

Just click and download. You can post these special reports on your own blog if you like; as long as you don’t change the content or sell these reports (and just give them away for free!)…

Share them with as many people as you like.

I just deleted my Twitter and Facebook Accounts.

Totally killed them.

I deleted both accounts because I hate clutter and waste.  Both of them were a waste of my time.

The only time I ever sent a Tweet was when I would publish a new blog post. It was pathetic really.  Such a time waster.

I mean if someone wants to read a blog post, then they should subscribe to my blog, not to my Twitter Feed.

Facebook was a waste of my time too.  When I did use Facebook, it was once a week at the most and it was mindless activity most times… sort of like when I used to watch TV – a total brain killer.

I’m done with both of them.

Maybe I signed up for these accounts because everyone else was doing it.

Social influence ya know?

It’s hard to say… I was a follower at the time and naive.  I bought in to all the hype – just going with the crowd.

Not anymore. Now I lead.

I received quite a few emails after publishing my last blog post, Why I’m No Longer a Life Coach.

Many people congratulated me on taking this new direction and at the same time others grew concerned about the new direction of my blog.  In this post I want to clarify that new direction.

So first let me start by being completely honest.  I publish content on this blog as a means of providing insight and direction – to others as well as myself.  Writing helps me clarify and crystallize my own beliefs and values; it helps me get clear on what it means to be a human being with infinite potential.

When I share my own insights, I also gain an interest in coaching.  The people reading this – yes, you – see the value in what I share and teach, and in some cases are looking for a coach.  That’s where the coaching comes in.  The only difference now - is that I have narrowed my coaching focus.

Now that I’ve shifted my coaching focus, I don’t suspect I will get fewer requests for coaching.  In fact, I believe I will get more requests for coaching.  The truth is that this blog has had well over 8,500 unique visitors (up from 5,000 last year) on average over the past 3 months, so attracting new cilents is not going to be a probelm.

Self-Help Content

So now… on to the big question, what type of content will I publish on this blog moving forward?

As part of the growth of this blog, I want to continue to write helpful and insightful content.   I’ll continue writing about the Law of Attraction, the power of manifestation and the powers of the mind.  I’ll write about self-help, personal growth and topics that encourage you to reach your potential.

Just for starters anways.  And I’ll start this week by sharing about an important distinction in the human mind that creates stress and overwhelm for many people.  I’ll have it up on my blog tomorrow.

Thanks for listening…

I haven’t made this public yet, but I know now is the time to share this with you.  I’m no longer going to be a “life coach.”

I’ve played this back and forth in my mind for many months.  I’ve even had quite a few emails over the last 6 months from people who have expressed an interest in coaching.  Here are the top 3 areas of coaching I normally get asked about…

  • Life Direction Coaching – getting focused on living on purpose.
  • Career Coaching – getting clear on your career choice.
  • Relationship Coaching – this one comes up from time to time, but I’m not feeling the Wil Smith (just yet!)

Besides these 3 areas, I also get asked about small business coaching.  But by far my favourite type of one-on-one coaching has been working with sales professionals.

So I’ve decided that from this point forward I’ll be putting my attention on helping sales professionals double their sales.

You might even call me a Sales Coach :)

Why the Switch?

I always tell ya to do what you love right?

Well I love selling.  And the truth is that I’ve been selling for an engineering consultant lately and I absolutely love it.  It is so much fun!

Yeah, no kidding.

I also discovered that shitty sales people (and there are a lot of them – too many to count) don’t really understand how to sell; partly because they think that selling is about the sale.

It’s not.

In fact, selling is first and foremost about building strong relationships with people; it’s about helping people improve their lives.  It’s about becoming a trusted advisor.  It’s about serving and contributing to others.  Great sales people know this.

So the bottom line is I enjoy selling and teaching others how to sell.   It turns me on and the more I’m turned on, the better I feel.

And I figure we should all be striving to feel a little bit better each and every day.

This is currently my most popular video… the funny thing is that I wasn’t feeling that good the day I created it. I was having a bad day and looking for something to do that would make me feel better.  And what made me feel better was creating this video :)

Here it is: How to Stop Negative Thoughts and That Little Voice in Your Head

What I have found is that even when I don’t feel that great, I always seem to be able to turn things around and change my focus by contributing and helping others.  Check out the video and let me know what you think by leaving a comment…
