95% of people DO NOT know this secret

If you have tried affirmations without success then you’ll want to know WHY.

It’s no secret really.  You just have to understand how thoughts manifest themselves.  If you want a new thought in the form of an affirmation or visualization to stick, then it must include these 3 specific elements.  These elements were written about in Maxwell Malt’s 40-year classic, Psycho-Cybernetics.

In Maltz’s book he says,

“The reason it (a thought) would remain with us rather than just bounce off like water off a duck’s back is what I view as self-image imprinting.  This is most controlled by three factors: authoritative source, intensity and repetition.”

It makes sense that an affirmation that is intense and repeated often enough will begin to manifest, right?

Not exactly.  If you stick with the repetition alone then you have a less than 30% chance of getting affirmations to work for you.

Let me explain.

Your Internal Sequence

The most important part of affirmations is that you get the feeling - the vibration.  If you affirm the words, “I am abundant,” and you don’t feel those words, the vibe of them - then you’re wasting your time.  It’s not going to elicit the Law of Attraction in your favor.

Part of the reason that affirmations don’t work is because of poor training and exercises.  For example: how many times have you done sit ups and gotten a six pack?

The exercises are important, but what’s even more important is the training on how to do those exercises.

The reason that most people don’t “get” affirmations is because they don’t understand their own neurology.  They don’t understand how their brain works.

You see your brain fires off thoughts in sequences.  And if you fire the right sequence then you trigger the right emotions.  And since the whole purpose of an affirmation is to trigger the way you feel, it’s absolutely critical you know your strategy - the sequence of auditory, visual and kinesthetic experiences that puts you into an emotional state.

This common mistake is much more subtle that the others I’ve shared with you. If you want to learn how to use the Law of Attraction correctly, then you’ve got to be crystal clear with what you want. Sounds straightforward right?

Then why is it that a great majority of people don’t get what they want? You’ll want to watch this video to find out.

I wish that life could be different in that we could all easily attract what we wanted when we wanted.  Wouldn’t that be nice?  It would be if we didn’t make this one mistake with the Universal Law of Attraction: notice the difference between what you think you want and what you really want.  I explain the difference in this short video.

A bunch of friends and I went white water rafting on the Ottawa river on August 15, 2009. We took a huge tumble, which left a group of scattered lemmings with yellow hats struggling to reach shore (see the video below).

The rapids were so severe that our guide said, “this was the biggest ride on the Ottawa River he’s had in the past 17 years.”

My friend Hani at easyonlinevideotips.com said this was his first near death experience. Here’s a log of his thought processes as we spun out of control:

“First Thought: Don’t panic, you’re wearing a life jacket and you’ll eventually float to the surface. So I started kicking to propel myself to the surface. I looked up and it was dark.

Second Thought: What if I’m under the raft, what do I do then? I stretched my hand up to try and feel for the raft, but all I felt was water.

Third Thought: I really need some help! So I started waving my hands to try to flag someone for help (underwater).

Fourth Thought: Wait a second, I’m underwater and nobody is going to see me. I really hope I am close to the surface by now or else I’m going to run out of air. I stretched again and still nothing but water.

Fifth Thought: I’m starting to inhale some water and if I don’t get any air now I’m seriously NOT going to make it! Just as I was about to give up, I shot to the surface, and took in some air.

Sixth Thought: Oh crap its not over yet.  I have to swim across the current to make it to shore or else I will get sucked into another Rapid! I’m sooo exhausted. Luckily, the rescue boats were right there to pick me up and take me to shore.

Nobody was seriously hurt on this trip.  August 15th is now officially referred to as “Life Appreciation Day”!

Life is short…follow your dreams!”

If you love your job, then you can skip this.  If you don’t, you won’t want to miss what I have to say.

We tend to get into patterns of habit.  These habits get reinforced in our ways of being, doing and having.  If you’re not completely in love with what you do for your job or career then ask yourself this question.  It’s a question I wish I would have asked myself much sooner than I did.

“A wise man should consider that health is the greatest of human blessings, and learn how, by his own thought, to derive benefit from his illnesses.” ~ Hippocrates

One way to take notice of your own self-sabotage is by becoming aware of physical pain.  Physical discomfort is caused by disharmony in the human mind; either consciously or unconsciously.

Pain is a loud and clear message from the inner self.  A sign of unresolved inner conflict.  And it’s this inner conflict that creates, manifests and shows up on the outside as the opportunity killer, self-sabotage.

In order to prevent the self-sabotage from controlling your life you’ve got to acknowledge the message being sent from the self.

A great number of people don’t know how to interpret these subtle messages.  They see pain as a normal part of life because they lack understanding and awareness.

You don’t need to live in pain.  You don’t need to live in conflict.  You can live a truly magnificent life - you can live in harmony as long as you watch and listen for these internal messages.

The key is to identify what is causing that inner pain.

It all begins with awareness.  Start where you are and answer these 3 questions to prevent self-sabotage from entering your life.

3 Questions to Identify Self-Sabotage in the Human Mind

Q#1: What part of your body is experiencing pain?

Q#2: What does the pain prevent you from doing?

Q#3: How does this pain relate to your mental attitude and thought processes?

Here’s a quick video where I share a specific example of how to identify self-sabotage using these 3 simple questions.

You’re always using the Law of Attraction, but not necessarily the way you want to - the way you would like.  And that’s what I mean by not using the law of attraction.  Instead of using the Law of Attraction, you’re using it’s polar opposite - the law of repulsion: you push away the good you desire.

Here are 6 Signs You’re Not Using the Law of Attraction:

Because motivation is an outside game.

Motivation relies on the conditions, circumstances and the people in your life to be just right before you feel motivated to act.  If you rely on having outer conditions just right before you feel motivated to act, you could be waiting a long time.

In this video I’ll share what’s more important than motivation and why you don’t need motivation to make a change in your life.  It’s all about the process and starting with the right part of the process.
