Why is it taking so long to reach your goals?

I think I cried more today watching this video, than at the funeral I attended yesterday. I’m not sure if the tears are of joy or sorrow, but I do believe they are from recognition. Recognition of the truth: time really is an illusion.

When writing this blog, I sometimes feel compelled to write something; to produce content; to send something out. That content is sometimes far from spectacular. I don’t always produce the quality that I expect of myself, but then again I am my biggest critic.

It’s in these rare cases that I get stuck in my head, I feel frustrated, exhausted and resistant. It turns out that this resistance is the very thing which is keeping me stuck, keeping me frustrated and keeping me in my head.

In some cases, my writing comes from my head more often than it comes from my heart. I’m going with what seems right instead of what feels right. I’m following my logic instead of being guided by my intuition. I’m doing what “I should” be doing versus what “I want” to do. All of this prevents me from going with the flow.

What does this have to do with time?

You see, there is this infinite supply that is always serving you, always providing for you and always working just for you. You are either resisting the supply or going with it.

I’ve got to tell you, I’m new to the teachings of Abraham-Hicks. Their material is just fantastic and it illustrates this point perfectly. If you feel stuck, frustrated or wonder: “Why is it taking so long to reach my goals?” – you’re in the right place. The answer is in this Abraham-Hicks video. Enjoy.

I love the teachings of Abraham hicks too, and let me tell you, I read a lot about the LOA, and you are the only blog I have on “My Favorites”, SO STOP IT, YOU ARE VERY GOOD, BUT YOU DO NOT NEED ME OR ANYONE TO TELL YOU THAT, AS ABRAHAM SAID, YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN MAKE YOU FEEL GOOD, JUST YOU, ONLY YOU, EVERY BIT OF IT YOU!.

Stephen, what is so engaging about your blog writing is its reflective nature.
We all know the Law of Attraction ‘technology’ in our heads. For me it is reading about it through the reflective thoughts of others I often times make my most thrilling heartfelt distinctions.
Good on you, keep it coming it is insightful and compelling. It’s also brief! I like that…

    Hi Temp,

Think of it this way. Having vibrational alignment with that which you want is believing and expecting 100% that it will come to you – before it does.

In other words, belief always precedes reality. Some people spend years trying to reach their goals saying, “I just need more time,” when in fact it has nothing to do with time and everything to do with belief.

    Hello Steve. :)

I’m a LOA believer. Knew about it 1-2 months ago and I’m still studying lots of things about it and just started applying it to my life. Since I knew about LOA I looked at some things in my past where actually happened for me to have thoughts and they came into reality. After I understood that I just said to myself “Wow! Now everything makes sense how things happened everytime I thought about them!”. Still I have some doubts about LOA. Some people say you can get EVERYTHING reachable in life with LOA if you know how to use it such as visualise, feeling, put real emotions on it. Others say you can’t use it as a wish tool. I’m confused. Do I really get everything I want if I know how to use it properly? Not things like taking back to life someone who’s dead of course, that would be too much (lol). And other question: Is it bad being always optimistic and expecting things? Won’t you be disappointed? Even if you master LOA, there are any way that it could disappoint you?

Sorry for many questions but I’m new at this and would like to clarify my doubts. Hoping for an answer soon! ;)

Hey Lara… some great questions. So first off… you attract everything into your life, regardless if you believe it now or not. Most of the things you attract into your life is done unconsciously… so that’s why beliefs play a big part in this whole process of attracting what you want.

If you have doubts, then it just means your belief in the process of attracting what you want is not as strong as it could be… and so I would expect you would have doubts because most of us our taught to beleive that we are separate from life (which is a limiting belief). The truth is that you are affecting your life and everything in it. It just takes some time (and a bit of curiosity) for many of us to exlore that side of things and see that reality.

Here’s another great article with more on that topic: Feeling Your Reality
