Inner Wealth

Some of us have spent years trying to make more money. I’ve been guilty of this too. I’ve tried to make money in real estate, network marketing and even ran my own math tutoring business for a couple of years.

Although the tutoring and real estate businesses were moderately successful I didn’t make the big money. For the longest time I struggled and only made incremental gains in the order of 10-20% increases.

The truth of it is, I thought earning money meant I had to work hard and be in the right business with the right people.

Now, I’m sitting here at home watching the people in my neighborhood go to work. And I’m not going to work. And the reason I’m not going to work is because I’ve created this freedom.

Now I’m not telling you this to go on some ego trip. If fact it’s not about me at all. I’m just working with the laws. In a relatively short period of time, I’ve been able to double my gross income and cut my work hours in half. That’s an increase of 293% !

So, I’m sitting here looking out the window and thinking, “What the heck is the difference between those people and little ol’me?

Now I’ve got to be honest with you, this isn’t the first time that I’ve asked that question. I’ve asked that question many times before.

Like I said before, I used to think that earning money was about working hard and getting into business with the right people. I still believe some of this to be true. The funny thing is that I’m still doing the same work, in the same business with the same people. I’m working less and getting paid more. Figure that one out.

How did I Increase my Income?

In T. Harv Eker’s book, Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, he talks about your financial thermostat. He says that every person has a thermostat that regulates your financial destiny. This thermostat works exactly like a thermostat in your home.

If the temperature on your thermostat is set to 25 C (77 F) then eventually the house temperature will rise to 25 C (77 F) . If the temperature is set to 15 C (59 F), then the temperature of the house will drop down to this set temperature. The house temperature adjusts to the setting on the thermostat; just as your income adjusts to the setting of your financial thermostat.

And this is exactly what has happened to me. I reset my financial thermostat and then my results changed. I made the changes inside and then my results changed on the outside. You’ve got to go inside first.

You see, I am just so happy and grateful that this is happening to me. I couldn’t be happier. I just had my first Freedom Day – Nov 1, 2008.  And I’m sure that you know, if you try something and it works, you want to share it with as many people as you can.

The beauty of this process is that you don’t even have to change very much. Some people are working so hard to earn more money. They’re living in the rat race. And they’re doing this because of what I call, The Big Lie about Money. Many people don’t understand that you just have to do a few things in the right way – or what Wallace Wattles calls the ‘certain way.’

Get to the Source of the Problem

Here is another way to look at this. A great number of people use their computer to print files, text, ebooks, whatever. Some people will take the printout from the printer, look at it and see a mistake. So what do they do? They grab some white-out and clear the mistake. Then they go back to their computer and print the file again. And what do they see? They see the same mistake as before.

You see, the message is so simple. You’ve got to change the file on your computer before the printout will change. Change the file and your printout will produce a different result. But what do we do? We focus on the symptom instead of the problem. We focus on changing the paper instead of changing the computer file.

You see, the printout is your result; it’s your financial income. If you want to earn more money you’ve got to change your internal file, not your outside results. Upgrade your file to a wealth file. That will reset your financial thermostat.

Why does this work? I have no idea. It’s one of the great mysteries of life. All I can tell you is that it does work and if you learn how to do it, money will seem to come to you easily and effortlessly. You can read the rest of this article here: How to Master the Inner Game of Wealth

The idea of thermostat is great. Many great tutors taught us that inner thought would change the world outside around us. thank you for sharing your experience.

    Hi money attraction,

I totally agree – it’s just the way it works; as long as you stay committed to the process.
