Bob Proctor: What Everybody Ought to Know About Him

This is a true story about Bob Proctor (from the movie The Secret).  Bob Proctor was earning $4,000 per year as a fire fighter in East York of Toronto in the 1960’s. At this time he was also $6,000 in debt.  The only way he could pay his debt would be to work for an entire year and a half without spending any money on food, living expenses or taxes.  His situation seemed hopeless.  During this time Bob was given a copy of Think & Grow Rich and it changed his life.

Within one year of receiving this book his income went from $4,000 to $175,000 per year.  He later went on to earn a million dollars.

How did Bob Proctor do it?

Bob was in the cleaning business at the time.  He started a company to clean office tower buildings.  This simple idea grew into a big idea that made millions of dollars for him.  He began opening offices in Toronto, London and other major cities around the world.

At the time Bob couldn’t figure out how he was able to earn so much money so quickly. He honestly didn’t know how he was able to do it.  He was sick, unhappy and didn’t have any previous business experience.  The odds were against him, yet he was still able to drastically change his life and his income in a relatively short period of time.

Bob became very curious.  He wanted to know why this had happened to him.

How could someone in his situation change so much in such a short period of time?

Bob Proctor decided to leave the cleaning business.  He left this business so that he could pursue the teachings in the personal growth industry.

The Little Green Book

A few years later Bob Proctor met Lloyd Conant.  Lloyd Conant had a massive impact on Bob’s life.

At the time, Lloyd was working in the personal growth industry and Bob wanted to know how he created his company.

Lloyd began to explain and share with Bob about this little green book that changed his life.  In Bob’s own words,

“And he started telling me about this little green book and how it changed his life, how he studied it all weekend. And then on Monday, he started to do what the book suggested.”

Bob became very interested in this little green book.  It’s this little green book that also inspired Rhonda Byrne to create the movie, The Secret.

The Science of Getting Rich

This little green book is The Science of Getting Rich and was written by Wallace Wattles in 1910.

“You’ll see two people doing the same thing.  One’s winning, one’s not.  Well, how do you account for that?  Well, that’s what we teach in The Science of Getting Rich.” ~ Bob Proctor

Bob Proctor has used the teachings from this book as the foundation to every one of his seminars since he began working in the personal growth industry over 40 years ago.

What else Can I tell you about Bob Proctor?

I don’t know Bob personally, but I’ve met him on 3 occasions.  He’s brilliant to watch in a live seminar and he’s got the midas touch.  Everything he touches seems to turn to gold.

If you ever get a chance to see him in a live seminar, go up and meet him.  Shake his hand and talk to him personally.  He’s very friendly and he’ll take the time to speak with you.  He’s got this vibe about him that is just awesome.

On the few occasions that I’ve met Bob Proctor, he’s given me some great advice.  I took that advice and I’m glad I did.  If you’d like to see Bob share his personal story with you on how he went from earning $4,000 to $175,000 in one year, see the video link in my final review of Six Minutes to Success.

I enjoyed watching Bob Proctor and was just thinking about taking his live course, so this post is very synchronistic. I enjoyed Think And Grow Rich, too, although it sounds so old-fashioned.

The Law of Attraction works because that is the way we, spiritual beings, are supposed to learn things in this physical world.

Very good read! I have been a fan of Mr. Proctor’s since seeing him on The Secret many thoughts ago. He’s legendary, and a true hero of my generation. His works, and teaching methods have inspired me to get outta’ the hampster wheel, and start defining my OWN purpose. Would love to connect with anyone in the Personal Growth field. God bless you all! :)

The comments here are indeed descriptive of Bob Proctor’s character and attitude towards life. I worked with him in the early 70’s both as a student and promoter of Bob’s seminars. Most of his work was done with corporations which came about his studies with Earl Nightingale in Chicago. We still keep in touch and of course I’m still learning from him. I would suggest you write his office and refer your questions to him. His teachings are priceless and will save you a lifetime of searching. You can start where you are to get on the road to where you wish to be. Bob’s schedule is world wide, so I’d recommend you gather your questions soonest. If you have questions in the meantime, ask me and I’ll respond.
