6 Clear Signs of Procrastination

Procrastination can be a big problem. You see what many people don’t realize is that putting off the important has greater consequences than they think. When you do this often and long enough, you start churning up destructive habit patterns.

These destructive habits can negatively affect your self-confidence and self-image. It negatively affects the way you feel. That’s why it’s critical to identify procrastination from the very beginning.

Here are 6 clear signs of procrastination:

  1. Feeling guilty for incomplete tasks
  2. Lowered self-esteem
  3. Feeling tired and fatigued
  4. A sense of being unworthy
  5. Signs of doubt and being depressed
  6. Feeling stressed and strung-out

Not a pretty sight, is it?

Well luckily a few smart people put together some suggestions to help you and I overcome procrastination. So let’s take a look.

Procrastination: What’s the Solution?

Most people go online nowadays to find solutions. So I went online to see what others were offering as solutions to procrastination.

Here’s what I found:

SOLUTION #1: Keeping filling your calender until you have a time set aside to each item while still meeting your deadlines.

Steve: This approach sounds depressing. When you finally accomplish the task, you’ll be as good as dead.

SOLUTION #2: Push on through the feelings and do it now.

Steve: Sounds fun – just as fun as pushing a big rock up a steep hill.

SOLUTION #3:When you feel actual physical resistance, when every bone in your body is resisting the task, force yourself to put one foot in front of the other.

Steve: This sounds depressing and awfully painful. I wonder what this guy does for fun?

SOLUTION #4: You’ve got to fix your procrastination.

Steve: Trust me you’re perfect. There is nothing for you to fix! Here’s my favorite:

SOLUTION #5: You do not want to change badly enough to put in the extra effort required.

Steve: Cause if you try really hard, then you’ll get what you want, right?

What a disaster. Ok, so I’m being a bit sarcastic here, but do you see the common theme? Almost every one of these authors suggests: You have to push yourself to succeed.

Does that make any sense? Shouldn’t it be easy to go after what you want?

I think so. You just have to solve the procrastination puzzle.

Solving the Procrastination Puzzle

I think it should be absolutely mandatory that you have fun when you go after what you want. That’s not for everyone because some people would rather painfully scathe their way to the top of success mountain.

I get it! You want to be a warrior and fight your way through.

But, what if I could teach you a strategy – that once you mastered – would help you eliminate procrastination in less than 7 minutes or less? Would that interest you?

Well it turns out there is a strategy, but it takes more than a single blog post to explain it.

Download that strategy here:How to Get Motivated in 7 Minutes or Less

Just a small point, in no way refuting the content of your article, but “Not a pretty site, is it?” should be “Not a pretty sight, is it?”.

I almost did not write this!
I know what to do but still find myself thinking up reasons why I cannot.
If I could overcome that, I’m sure I could take control of my life.
