Are Your Thoughts Negative or Positive?

It’s crazy if you think of it. The human mind can think faster than most of us can read. Most of the time we don’t even know what we’re thinking. Our mind works way too quickly for us to keep track.

Some people will tell you that they’re really positive, but they always feel like crap.

Is that positive thinking? I don’t think so.

What about you? Are your thoughts negative or positive? How can you tell?

Bravo, Steve! It’s nice to hear an LOA teacher distill it down to the essence. I used to spend time trying to find my core beliefs and my every thought, and then I realized all I have to know is whether I feel good or bad. Now, when I feel bad, I can quickly ask myself, “What am I focusing on?” It’s usually easy to find the thought that is bringing the negative emotion. Then I ask, “What do you want?” When I think about what I want, that can make me feel better. If it doesn’t (and this is usually because I have a torrent of negative thoughts running on the subject and one little visualization isn’t enough to counteract that), I shift my focus to something I like in my life right now. I just put my attention elsewhere. I can feel the relief immediately, and then I know I’m thinking a more positive thought.
