Do You Have Mental Blocks?

January 24, 2009 by Steve

“People only see what they are prepared to see.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

This is the first in a series of three videos on mental blocks and false beliefs.  In this series I’ll share with you a three step process to uncover these mental blocks o you can live the greater, grander you.

In the first video I’ll share:

  • how to know which area of your life is being run unconsciously (or a potential blind spot)
  • my biggest mental blocks and what happened when I became aware of them

Here’s the first video:

Nice post, but the video is not there any more? Whats the use of sending me a link to a post that has this posts’ lead at the end and then the video does not work????

I can see it - I don’t quite understand the problem. Are you using dial-up? When you click on the video does it bring you to Youtube?

I liked the video - at the end when you spoke about “if you could see what I see…” you made me kinda tear up!
On a constructive note - this lesson stayed on the question being about a personal relationship where my false belief was about not making lots of money, but I get the point; challenge what I believe; change what I believe, and change my life. Thanks for doing what you do!

Hi Steve! I noticed that in your video on eye movements/lying & the video from 20daypersuasion.com that what you say as to left/right is opposite as to what the other video says about left/right lying. Does the left/right eye movement depend on wether the person is left/right handed? or is it with all people & just an error in the video. Please let me know because it is interesting. Thanks

    Hi Shawna,

Yes - it does depend on the person. I believe for 10% of people, the eye positions are exactly the opposite.

So if looking up and to the right is creative (or future) then looking up and to the left is remembering (or past) experiences. Then it would be the exact opposite for that smaller group - around 10% of people.

I don’t believe it has anything to do with someone who is left handed or not. My brother is left handed but he follows the same eye positions that 90% + of people follow.

    Hope that clarifies,
