Craig Ballantyne with the Turbulence Training program. Even he’s not necesairly in the psychological realm, he’s a coach in the real-world meaning – a physical coach, for physical activity & wellness & strength.

  2. M.Magdi

    Hello Steve,

Since you are from Canada, I wonder why you didn’t hear of Ibrahim Elfiky? He is one of the greatest NLP coaches in Canada. I would like to know your opinion of him when you visit his website and read his books. He need to be in your list!

  3. Zeya Alikhan

You left out the most important coach and that is ourselves. We are our best coaches. All the top 50 or the top 500 coaches in the world can only “lead us to the water” then it is up to us to take inspired action so we can drink from that water. So I would like to put where credit is due. We are the creators of our own life, one way or another.

  4. Veronica

Zeya – of course what you’re saying is true – we are the only agent of change (and motivator, and coach!) in our lives.

In reality though, the only reason I went on this spiritual journey myself is because of inspirational, powerful people out there (some whom are coaches). I constantly lose my way and lose my motivation to continue – I always need these ‘coaches’ to bring me back. I feel there’s a lot of wisdom and knowledge out there that is to be learnt – from these coaches. I think that’s what Steve is getting at, in this post.

I couldn’t possibly be where I am without these amazing people. I would be completely lost – even with the most important tool I have at my disposal – myself.

  5. Terence

I’m a believer in Conversations With God and not attached to any organized religion but I listen to half an hour of Pastor Joel Osteen on You Tube every day. He is really good – never out to stone us but always there to lift our spirits.

    1. Rumina

I agree, Joel Osteen gave me the spirit of positivity, almost every day I listen to his sermons while preparing for work. He changed my way of thinking plus I learned how to be petient and positive, I consider this as one of the most impportant skills nowadays. I have outstanding results and of course plus many other activities that I engage myself for boosting my self esteem and confidence for feeling great. I strongly recommend him no matter your religion.
I am reading a lot from the above mentioned Coaches as well and I feel alive and happy again.

  6. Steve Post author

    Hey Terence,

I read every comment on this blog. I checked out Pastor Joel Osteen and he completely blew me away! Thanks for sharing his inspirational message with everyone.

Here is a link to one of his videos: The Promise is in You

Ester Hicks a ‘Law of Attraction’ coach? Come on man! She channels a spiritual group called ‘Abraham’. She does not call herself a coach nor does she or Abraham ‘coach’ people by definition of the term as coaching is generally known.
The idea of coach/coaching also applies to: Bob Proctor, T. Harv Eker, James Ray and Kendall Summerhawk. They all give trainings, have products and speak. One on one or group coaching doesn’t exist with them, especially James Ray.

The only one here that could qualify as a coach is Tony Robbins because he DOES coach people and has been for decades. It sounds like you’re tossing around the term ‘coach’ so loosely that ‘anyone’ who gives trainings or has a book or product out ‘is’ a coach by your definition.

If you get a little closer to the real term, you might garner more credability in your writting of this article. As it is, it’s more like the top 50 people who give trainings, have products or books out. This really can’t be taken as a serious list of top ‘coaches’ since hardly any are truly in the ‘coaching’ industry.

  8. Alan

fantastic post, very informative. I’m wondering why the other specialists of this sector do not notice this. You should continue your writing. I am confident, you’ve a great readers’ base already!

I almost never comment, but I looked at a few of the comments on Life Coaches:
50 Best in the World | Manifesting your desires….
I actually do have 2 questions for you if it’s allright.

Is it simply me or do a few of these remarks appear like they are
coming from brain dead folks? :-P And, if you are writing at additional social sites, I would like to follow anything
fresh you have to post. Could you make a list
of every one of all your social pages like your Facebook page, twitter feed, or linkedin profile?

Hi there terrific blog! Does running a blog such as this take a massive amount work?
I have no expertise in coding however I had been hoping
to start my own blog soon. Anyways, if you have
any recommendations or tips for new blog owners please share.
I understand this is off topic nevertheless I just needed to ask.
    Thank you!

  14. Molly Rhinehart

There are a lot of inspirational people on this list, and I have purchased and used several of these folks in my lifetime but the problem with them helping with REAL personal change is that it isn’t personal. Or really individualized. You get inspired by their thoughts and ideas and it works for awhile but it doesn’t help with the stuff that makes us mess up in the first place. She’s probably not big enough to be in the “top 50” obviously, but my biggest help came from a regular counselor who also does coaching. She was the first person to really help me see and understand ME in a way I hadn’t before, which was much more effective than just an inspiring pep talk or idea. Her name is Elizabeth Read if you want to check her out. website is http://www.virtualshrink.org It helped me so much I’m considering going into the biz myself, hence finding my way to this website post ;) Anyway, Good luck! and check her out if you are looking for help! She’s definitely much more affordable than attending the trainings of these guys for sure!

  15. Jenny Dainton

The Man who changed my life, my family life and my spiritual life is Tony J Selimi. An Elite Life Coach who is extremely grounded, spiritual, heart centred, and has has a lazor sharp focus when it comes to finding the needle in the hay.

His book and TJS Method helped me overcome my fears, limiting beliefs I had about myself as well as helped me establish a clear path for the life I now have and love.

Hiss healing hands are an experience to be hold. I love this guy….he is the next big Tony Robbins with a spiritual hat on that will heal the world. http://www.tonyselimi.com

  16. Dave Shirley

I would add to this list Steve Hardison at: theultimatecoach.net and Steve Chandler at: stevechandler.com. Both are excellent coaches. Steve Chandler is also an author and has written many successful books. His recent book: 37 Ways to BOOST Your Coaching Practice is great.

  17. Kevin Sandy

Please include these Life Coaches who has helped Billions.

    4. Mr Bradley sugars;
Business Coach, President of Action Coach International – the #1 Business Coaching franchise in the world, Profit Master International and author

  18. Laurie Bariola

Bill Walsh should be on that list. He’s been vouched for by 4 of the business coaches on your list. Actually Brian Tracy took his course and learned from him. John Assaraf has been to his summits, Les Brown… the list goes on. He’s pretty big and pretty life changing.

  19. Justin

    Hi Steve,

One coach I would definitely add to the list is Maria Nemeth (http://marianemeth.com/), author of “The Energy of Money” and “Mastering Life’s Energies” and a Master Certified Coach. Her mantra is: “Would it be all right if life got easier?” She’s been on Oprah, and has been doing this work for over 30 years.

  20. Stacey

I love Elle Miller at lifecoach55.com , she worked on Wall street has executive experience and caters on a personal level of coaching too. I’ve used her and so have my friends. We are very happy with Elle Miller at LifeCoach55.com
Her fees are way cheaper than anyone else, but worth the price. She does follow up emails and phone calls and if in need you can text her too AFTER your sessions.
Most other life coaches are DONE with you once your session is OVER. LOL Not with Elle Miller at Lifecoach55.com She rocks!!

  21. Michaela Wagner

Are you guys familiar with Marilyn O’Malley? She’s a real up-and-comer in the coaching business. http://www.marilynomalley,com. She has a great podcast on iTunes called Millennials & Money Cafe. Amazing guests on that show and her style is very warm and inspiring. She does a lot with tapping, works on transforming childhood programming, money blocks, vows. etc.

  22. Ken

The list is made up for transformational leaders, trainers and business development people. Most of these people are not life coaches. You may want to look up what life coaches do and are all about. Life coaching is a process of asking powerful questions and drawing out the greatness of individuals. We all have our own brilliance. Life coaches draw it out.

  23. Raj Punarvasi

    Hi Steve

Nice post. I am also fan of some the coaches that you listed. Keep up good work.

I am a Software & Life coach, trained and helped people in more than 50 countries. Many enquiries got through my articles on technology and well being.

    Have a Good business…
Raj Punarvasi – Software & Life coach

  24. Eben

I’d say Jeffrey Manu is the foremost psychological marketing strategist.
Jay Abraham and Strive Masiyiwa as well

  25. Ira Hilf

Mary Morrissey, in my opinion, does a very good job of Life Coaching in a way that is spiritually uplifting. She takes into account Visioning and Goals for Finance, Health, Relationships and Creative Expression. I have also benefitted from programs by Louise Hay, Stephen Covey and Tony Robbins, all previously mentioned, and the master predecessor of them all- Napoleon Hill!

  26. Sarbojit

    Hi Steve,

Nice post, great to see many good profiles here.

I am also a life coach from Mumbai, India. Here is my site: http://icswyc.com/
